Up for sale is the complete Fender Legends serie pedals by Boss. The set consists of: - Boss FDR-1 (65' Fender Deluxe Reverb amp) - Boss FBM-1 ('59 Fender Bassman amp) - Boss FRV-1 ('63 Fender Reverb) The pedals are in excellent shape and are 100% fully fonctional. They have some minor paint chips that can be seen in the pictures. It just wasn't what I was looking for. The 65 was a bit brighter. More headroom. The 68 had some crunch with the volume turned up about halfway. Now since the 68 is meant to emulate the basic characteristics of early Fenders, it emulated the early, essential crunch sound as well.
I went down to Chuck Levin's (Washington Music Center) to look a Vibro Champ Reverb and Princeton Reissues (65/68). I wanted to add a real, tube amp to my setup. Mostly "bedroom" style playing so nothing too loud. After playing them, I pretty much thought the VCR would do the job.
Yesterday I decided to play with it again and ran a reissue Fender reverb tank into it and used the Bassman sim with the 4-10 cabinet. I got it to sound really good after some tweaking. I think the reverb unit adding tubes to the circuit helped. To anyone who has a reverb tank, try running through that before the sim. Last edited: Jun 09, 2020 Boss 63 Fender Reverb Pedal. Published on 11/28/11 at 15:00. This pedal digitally reproduces the classic tones of the original 63 Fender Reverb unit. The unit although sounded amazing is powered by tubes and can be somewhat cumbersome and high maintenance.

The Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb has captivated many guitarists with its unique sound, regardless of genre. The FDR-1 faithfully models this sound using Boss' proprietary COSM technology. The FDR-1 is the only BOSS instrument in the world to offer this sound. Fender has licensed the use of its legendary amp name and logo exclusively to the BOSS FDR
